To celebrate Leith School of Art’s 30th anniversary, we were invited to participate in the school’s Art Apparel project, which was to take one of LSA’s white artist’s aprons and make our own ‘creative mark’ on it. Jacqueline had taught at the school for nineteen years and Ron had designed the original LSA logo and prospectus. Our collaborative apron artwork depicts a woodcut boat image, part of the original logo design, sitting on a vibrantly painted background. The boat image was by Mark Cheverton, one of the founders of the school.
All of the apron artworks were subsequently exhibited as a complete installation within the school and successfully auctioned to raise funds towards the School’s charitable aims.
